As you grow older, you may lament your frequent aches and pains. You may start to reminisce about your youth when you could eat whatever you wanted without gaining an ounce or play any sports without feeling like your heart was going to explode. The fact is that growing old is as much a psychological and emotional issue as a physical one. As the saying goes, “You are only as old as you feel.” There may not be a fountain of youth, but anti aging care is available with a few simple tips.
Reduce Your Stress Levels
One of the most important steps to feeling younger is to manage your stress more effectively. Stress can wreak havoc on your mind and body aging. It can even lead to serious diseases such as heart disease, strokes or heart attacks. Stress can also cause brain age so it’s important to learn some relaxation techniques. Take your dog out for a walk, have a professional massage or enjoy a quiet meal with a special friend.
Enjoy A Glass Of Red Wine
Not all alcohol is bad for you, especially red wine. Studies show that mice who were fed large doses of red wine extracts outlived mice that didn’t. This is thanks to the powerful antioxidant called resveratrol that leaves you feeling mentally younger and less stressed. So pick up a glass of your favorite red wine and enjoy it without any guilt!
Eat More Dark Chocolate
The bitter taste of dark chocolate is caused by a powerful antioxidant. Aging can be slowed as your body fights harmful free radicals caused by sun exposure, stress and pollution. Dark chocolate can also reduce your cholesterol level. This may decrease your risk of heart disease and high blood pressure. This can be a joyful part of the senior diet.
Have More Sex
Another way to feel younger is to have more sex. This activity releases endorphins which can lower your stress aging levels. Sex can also increase the number of antibodies in your body and strengthen your immune system. We can’t imagine a more enjoyable way to feel younger!
Exercise More Often
Adopting a healthy lifestyle can also help you feel younger. Senior fitness slows aging effects. You should exercise your mind and body on a regular basis to keep your body healthy, your muscles strong and your mind sharp. You will gain greater physical strength and improved flexibility. If your body is not as agile as it once was, you can perform moderate exercises such as walking or swimming. It is the most important aging care you can give to yourself.
So drink up and enjoy your favorite chocolate bar before hitting the gym. When you return home, ask your husband or wife for a massage before heading upstairs to the bedroom. Did you ever imagine that feeling younger could be so much fun?
